Akil ZAIMI

Akil is an upstream petroleum economist with more than thirty years experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked on a wide range of oil and gas upstream and downstream projects and studies located in several countries.  He also has a good knowledge of cost estimating, reservoir engineering and the legal aspects of the upstream Oil & Gas business. He pioneered R factor type upstream agreements where the fiscal take is linked to the project profitability. He was a member of the board and financial controller of several oil service companies active in drilling, lube oil, regeneration, supply boats, storage, products pipeline and construction. Akil is an engineer from CentraleSupélec and an engineer-economist from the IFP. In addition, he holds complementary diplomas in  management of oil companies from HEC Montréal and in Mathematics Applied to Economic Science from the Paris Dauphine university
